Project Overview
WoMan is a poetic and provocative mini-series that unravels the buried truths of womanhood in patriarchal societies. Merging myth, memory, and personal resistance, the story follows women who awaken from centuries of cultural suppression and embark on a metaphysical journey to rewrite their roles in life, love, and history.
Through a blend of symbolic visuals and intense emotional storytelling, WoMan invites the audience into a layered universe where time, gender, and truth collide.
Our Approach
Inspired by feminist literature, Persian mysticism, and contemporary performance art, WoMan is crafted as a hybrid narrative—part thriller, part ritual, part poetic outcry.
With minimalist stage elements, mythological undertones, and fragmented storytelling, the series evokes both personal pain and collective memory. It draws from Kamran Rasoolzadeh's original stage play, reimagined for the screen using a cinematic language that’s intimate, surreal, and deeply symbolic.
Core Themes & Concepts
Myth & Metamorphosis – Ancient symbols reinterpreted through modern feminist lenses
Body as Battlefield – Silence, shame, desire, and voice
Time & Trauma – Generational wounds woven into nonlinear narrative
Resistance & Rebirth – Reclaiming space, rewriting fate
Key Challenges & Solutions
In regions where artistic expression is politically or culturally policed, stories like WoMan are often silenced before they are told.
This project aims to challenge these taboos, offering a global audience a powerful and poetic lens on the hidden dimensions of womanhood.
Its layered narrative allows for both personal identification and international resonance—making it ideal for festivals, streaming platforms, and cross-cultural dialogue.
